Er k\u00e4mpfte beim Aufstand der Araber gegen das Osmanische Reich w\u00e4hrend des 1. Weltkrieges. Nur ein paar hundert Meter von seinem Haus in einer Kurve sah er er zwei Burschen auf Fahrr\u00e4dern und Lawrence wollte eine Kollision vermeiden, verrei\u00dft den Lenker um den Kindern auszuweichen. Er hat sich schwere Kopfverletzungen zugezogen und starb demzufolge 6 Tage nach dem Unfall. Durch seinen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad als &#8222;Lawrence von Arabien&#8220; hat man danach die Sturz-Helm-Pflicht in England eingef\u00fchrt&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
